GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Successful applicant must possess, meet, or exceed the following criteria:
- Two-year degree in Business or Accounting preferred
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Internet Processing Capabilities
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft products, including Word and Excel
- Sensitive to confidential material
- Preference given to those with prior work experience in an office setting
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Power School application with student information to be kept up to date
- Provide general support to visitors
- Use of financial software LINQ and EPES for school accounting
- Preparation of school Purchase Orders
- Preparation of regularly scheduled financial reports
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Order office supplies and research new suppliers that may offer better price points
- Monitors school allotment budgets to fully utilize allocations without overspending
- Submit and reconcile expense reports on a monthly basis
- Act as the point of contact for purchasing (accounts payable) and money collections (accounts receivable)
- Responsible for processing deposits and check writing
- Maintains records of school orders and inventory and follows up with vendors on shipment and delivery
- Reports to principal to handle requests and queries relating to school business
- Reports to district finance officer relating to school finance
